Bournemouth have been in touch with Arsenal with regard to a move for winger Ethan Nwaneri, who has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium so far this season, despite signing a new contract last summer. The Englishman is also ready for a move elsewhere as he pursues a possible place in England's World Cup squad this summer.
Nwaneri is said to be disappointed at the lack of minutes, and even didn't make the matchday squad in recent games.
It is understood that Arteta has a positive relationship with Nwaneri, and the Spanish manager is ready to let Nwaneri leave on loan in pursuit of regular first-team football, but it depends on the Gunners' injury list by the end of January.
Nwaneri was in top form last season, famously scoring a wonderful goal against Manchester City, but this year minutes have been hard to come by.
Arsenal are also considering a loan move for players in the January window to add depth to their squad, as they pursue a first Premier League title in more than 20 years.
