Tottenham Hotspur are looking into a deal for Manchester City striker Omar Marmoush after missing out on the signature of Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo.
Semenyo was Spurs' number one choice to strengthen their attack this winter, but the Ghanaian sensation has chosen to join Manchester City instead. He is expected to sign for the Cityzens in the next 48 hours.
Spurs are now exploring alternatives and Caught Offside claim that they are weighing up an approach for Marmoush, who has had limited playing time over the course of the ongoing campaign.
The Egyptian has managed less than 400 minutes for the Cityzens this campaign, and he could contemplate a fresh challenge away from the club on his return from the Africa Cup of Nations.
Spurs were previously keen on landing Savinho from Man City, but the Brazilian has suffered a fresh injury, which will keep him sidelined for around two months.
Marmoush has been earmarked as an alternative, but he may not come on the cheap. Man City may want to recoup the £59 million fee paid for his services last winter.
