  • Southampton's boss George Burley has been scouting Mintal since last summer, and could be set to make a move for the striker in a £1m deal.

Mintal was capped for the Slovak national team for the first time on February 6, 2002 and has now won 33 caps and scored 11 goals for the international side.

Marek Mintal scored in the final of the German cup last season, which Nurnberg won, defeating VfB Stuttgart 3-2 after extra time.
