Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has sent a message to former Blues boss Enzo Maresca ahead of the FA Cup third round tie against Charlton Athletic on the road.
The Blues parted ways with Maresca on New Year's Day following a string of poor league results. The hierarchy wanted a change and opted to appoint Rosenior as his successor.
Rosenior will take charge of his maiden game against Charlton.
Ahead of the clash, the 41-year-old said that Maresca did a fantastic job tactically, and he has the task of taking the club to the next level.
He said in the pre-match presser: "Enzo Maresca did a fantastic job tactically and now my job is to take it to the next level."
The Blues are clear-cut favourites to beat the Championship outfit despite being on the road. They will be eyeing a convincing victory.
Rosenior played with a three man backline during his time at Strasbourg and it remains to be seen whether he uses the same formation.
