Manchester United have no plans of pursuing a deal for Rennes striker Kader Meite during the ongoing winter transfer window, as per Manchester World.
The Mancunian giants have been linked with the 18-year-old marksman over the past few days, and it has been claimed that they could enter the race.
However, this has now been dismissed. The speculation is said to be exaggerated and United have no plans of signing the young centre-forward.
Rennes have placed a price tag of 30 million euros on the youngster's head and he could depart before the transfer window closes next week.
Al-Hilal have already had an opening bid worth 26 million euros turned down for the teenager, but they are expected to come up with a fresh bid.
The Saudi Pro League giants are confident of landing the Frenchman with personal terms already agreed with the player's agents this week.
United have no desire to compete for the player's signature.
