Arsenal readying move for Nico Williams?

Arsenal could make a fresh move to land Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams at the end of the campaign, according to Fichajes.

The Spaniard was a top target for the Gunners last summer, but he ended up committing his future to Athletic with a fresh nine-year deal.

As a result, his release clause was increased too. The current buy-clause stands at around €95 million, but this has not diminished interest.

The Gunners are still monitoring his situation and could make a formal bid for his services when the transfer window reopens later this year.

Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli are the left-back options at the moment, but the former could be on his way out this summer.

He will enter the last year of his contract in July this year and reports claim that there are multiple Saudi Pro League clubs keen on him.

Arsenal turned down a proposal worth €35 million for the Belgian in the summer of 2024, but could be tempted to accept a similar fee.
