Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has dropped a huge hint over Liam Delap's future in his press conference before the Burnley game.
The Blues take on Burnley in their next Premier League match on Saturday. Ahead of the game, Rosenior was posed with several questions.
One of those was centred around Delap's debut season. Rosenior acknowledged that the striker has been hampered by injuries.
He further stated that the Englishman could find his feet next term.
He said: "For Liam, he's had some really, really good performances. But also his rhythm has been interrupted with injury, his shoulder issue."
"I think that's clear. If you look at most players' careers, normally when they join the club, it's the second season that they really take off."
Delap has been linked with a surprise summer exit over the past few days. Manchester United are among clubs that have been linked with him.
Rosenior's update is a clear indication that he plans to continue with Delap. This should end the speculation surrounding the English striker.
