Arsenal are leading the race to sign Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams during this summer's transfer window, as per Football Insider.
The Gunners are expected to land a marquee left winger later this year with the prospect of Leandro Trossard heading for the exit door.
The 31-year-old will enter the last year of his contract with the London giants and it looks likely that the club will cash in on his services.
Amidst this, it is claimed that the Gunners are lining up a move for Williams despite him being contracted to Athletic until June 2035.
Williams' contract has a release clause worth £87 million and the Gunners are expected to assess his situation before weighing up a move.
The Spaniard has had a tough 2025/26 season with the La Liga outfit and he has made just 10 goal contributions for the club thus far.
Williams is currently out with a sports hernia and his inclusion in the World Cup squad with Spain is also doubtful at the current point.
