Unhappy striker David Nugent has been linked with a move to newly promoted Premiership side Hull City this summer.
Nugent has been persistently linked with a move away from Portsmouth, but a move has yet to happen.
Last year, both Derby and Stoke City had been linked with a swoop for the forward, but the deal failed to materialise.
Now Hull City are ready to test Portsmouth's resolve for a player that the Fratton Park outfit paid £7 million for. Hull City are lining up an offer of around £4 million; and Portsmouth are believed to be ready to cut their losses.
