Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen striker Christian Kofane during the summer transfer window, according to his agent.
The west London giants presently have Joao Pedro as the regular marksman, but they have lacked quality backup with Liam Delap and Marc Guiu having failed to impress during the ongoing season.
There is speculation that the pair could be offloaded during the summer and Kofane's agent has now confirmed that Chelsea are among European clubs keen on signing his client from Leverkusen.
Arsenal are in pole position to land the striker, having made first contact, but the Blues can't be ruled out of the race alongside Barcelona.
Leverkusen are open to parting ways with the 19-year-old for a significant profit. They are prepared to sanction his sale for around £52 million.
Kofane has played only 1,750 minutes for Leverkusen this campaign, but he has impressed with seven goals and eight assists in all competitions.
