Manchester United are eyeing a shock approach for Arsenal defender Myles Lewis-Skelly when the transfer window reopens this summer.
The Red Devils are keen on landing a new left-back at the end of the season. Luke Shaw is an undisputed starter but he has a worrying injury record.
Patrick Dorgu was signed to deputise for the Englishman, but the Dane has looked more comfortable from a wide attacking position instead.
Dorgu's future could be higher up the pitch and reports claim that Lewis-Skelly is quickly emerging as a top target for the Mancunian giants.
Lewis-Skelly has not asked to leave the Gunners yet, but that is widely expected to happen, having barely played in the Premier League this term.
He has become the third-choice left-back behind Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori, and his fortunes appear unlikely to change soon.
Lewis-Skelly won't be going to the World Cup with England as a result of this. It would be a huge surprise if he makes the squad this summer.
