The Blues are exploring the possibility of landing a new centre-back and the focus could be on an experienced solution without breaking the bank.

Hence, they are lining up a fresh transfer for Senesi and Moretto claims that contact is underway between the Blues and the player's agent.

Senesi's current deal with Bournemouth expires in the summer and he has his sights on a big payday in what could be his final lucrative deal.

Chelsea have held talks with his entourage but they are not alone with Manchester United also weighing up a contract for his services.

There is also interest from outside of the Premier League. Atletico Madrid and Barcelona have also been in contact with his representatives.

Hence, it could be a tussle to land his signature. Senesi may ultimately choose the best sporting project with a lucrative salary package.
