Manchester City are looking at the prospect of signing two midfielders ahead of Manchester United this summer, as per reports.
The Cityzens are planning a spending spree on midfield options next term and they have identified a couple of prime targets.
Nottingham Forest's Elliot Anderson is one of those and it is claimed that they have already made contact with his entourage.
Anderson has also given the green light for the transfer, and he is prepared to snub the Red Devils for a move to the Etihad Stadium.
Meanwhile, Man City are also strong contenders to land Sporting CP star Morten Hjulmand with informal talks already held with his agents.
Hjulmand has been on United's radar for some time, but the Cityzens are now leading the race to sign the Denmark international.
The duo could be signed for a combined fee of around £100 million. Man City look on course to beat United to both players later this year.
