Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has sustained a fresh injury ahead of the Premier League clash against Chelsea this weekend.
The Red Devils are currently in a strong position to qualify for the Champions League with a top-five league finish and can boost their prospects by beating the Blues this weekend.
Ahead of the game, they have suffered an untimely setback. Mainoo sustained an injury in the lead-up to the Leeds game on Monday, and he is now doubtful to face the Blues away.
United beat the Blues by a 2-1 scoreline in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford, and should fancy their chances of another victory, given the Blues' woeful form in recent weeks.
Chelsea have picked up just three points from their previous five league matches and recently suffered a heavy 3-0 loss to Manchester City in front of their fans at Stamford Bridge.
Hence, United will go into the game as slight favourites. If Mainoo is deemed unfit, Manuel Ugarte should continue to partner Casemiro in the heart of the midfield.
