Chelsea playmaker Cole Palmer could pursue a new challenge away from the club if they don't qualify for the Champions League next season.

  • The Blues have been in a dreadful run of league form, and they are currently lying sixth in the standings with just 48 points on the board.

The club started the gameweek with a four-point deficit to fifth-placed Liverpool, but that game has now increased to seven points.

The Reds picked up a sensational 2-1 win over Everton on the road earlier on Sunday. Virgil van Dijk scored a dramatic late winner for them.

With a seven-point deficit and just five matches to play, it seems unlikely that the Blues will be playing Champions League football next term.

If that proves to be the case, Palmer's future could be uncertain. He could pursue a new club where he has the guarantee of Champions League football.

Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United are keeping tabs on the highly-rated England international ahead of the summer.
