Michael Carrick to make two big changes for Man Utd vs Brentford

25 April 2026 - 20:32

Manchester United interim manager Michael Carrick is set to make two big defensive changes for the Premier League clash against Brentford on Monday night.

  • William Gallas wants Chelsea to appoint La Liga manager
  • Wesley Fofana sends message ahead of Leeds game
  • The Red Devils have been on a roll under Carrick this year, and they require just one win from their remaining five matches to qualify for the Champions League next term.

Ahead of Monday's clash at Old Trafford, Carrick looks poised to make a couple of defensive changes. Noussair Mazraoui and Ayden Heaven started in central defence during the recent 1-0 win at Chelsea.

The duo are expected to drop to the bench with Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire poised to return after serving respective suspensions.

Leny Yoro has also reported for team training after overcoming a minor injury, but may have to occupy the bench against the Bees on Monday.

Meanwhile, Matthijs de Ligt has returned to the grass after a nagging back issue, but he may not be risked for the remainder of the campaign.
