Manchester United have sent scouts to monitor Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu ahead of a potential summer move, according to Calciomercato.
The Red Devils are expected to bolster their defensive department at the end of the campaign, and they are exploring a versatile option to add to their squad.
Kalulu has now emerged as a top target for the Mancunian giants, considering he can operate as a right-back or as a central defender when required.
He has already made nine goal contributions in the current campaign, but has also caught the eye with his passing range and defensive involvements.
Juventus are currently trying to negotiate an improved deal with the Frenchman, but they could also open the door for a big-money exit.
He was signed for an overall package of around £20 million after his loan spell from AC Milan. A fee of £40 million could prise him away.
United are planning to monitor him closely before weighing up a move. Personal terms are not expected to be a stumbling block for the club.
