Manchester United have identified Atalanta midfielder Ederson as one of their prime targets for the summer transfer window, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Red Devils are poised to bolster their midfield department this summer with multiple exits predicted. Casemiro will depart when his contract expires on June 30.
Manuel Ugarte could also head for the exit door. The Uruguayan has been out of sorts with his positioning in the Premier League, and the club could cut their losses on him.
Amidst this, Ederson has emerged as a top target for the Mancunian giants, but no contact has been established with Atalanta for the Brazilian ace, as things stand.
United have Carlos Baleba and Elliot Anderson as the priority targets, and Ederson is reportedly one of the alternative choices for the Mancunian heavyweights.
Ederson agreed personal terms with Atletico Madrid earlier this year, but they have dropped out of the race after learning about the €50 million asking price.
