The agent of Chelsea striker Joao Pedro has spoken with Barcelona sporting director Deco regarding a summer transfer.
Pedro had a brilliant debut season with the Blues in the Premier League. He managed an impressive 20 goal contributions.
Despite this, he was left out of Brazil's World Cup squad this summer, which offers ample time for Barcelona to negotiate his exit.
Deco personally spoke with the player's agent earlier today and when pressed on the meeting, the 48-year-old said:
"We are working. We will sign some players. I can't say anything regarding João Pedro, we are interested in more players. We haven't spoken with clubs."
Barcelona are yet to make formal contact with Chelsea regarding Pedro, but it is quite clear that they want to land his signature.
The Brazilian star has not spoken about the speculation, but he has a dream of playing with the Blaugrana in the near future.
Chelsea are adamant that Pedro is going nowhere, but a package of around £100 million could entice them to sell him.
