Chelsea could make a surprise move to sign Aston Villa attacker Morgan Rogers as they seek to reinforce their left wing department ahead of next season.
The Blues signed Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens last summer to bolster the left wing, but neither of them made significant contributions.
Gittens spent most of the campaign on the sidelines with injuries, while Garnacho looked like a lost figure after his shock move from Manchester United.
Garnacho has been touted to move to the Italian top-flight this summer. Amidst this, The Sun claim that the Blues are weighing up an offer for Rogers.
Rogers has primarily played as a number 10 for Villa, but he is equally comfortable from the left flank due to his dribbling and impressive positioning.
Chelsea are among the contenders for his signature, but it appears Arsenal could have an edge over their London counterparts this summer.
Rogers qualified for the Champions League with Aston Villa, and he is determined to play in the elite competition next season even if he leaves.
Arsenal can offer him that guarantee and they are also prepared to hand him a starting role on the left wing, which won't be certain with the Blues.
