Chelsea have received an offer of €40 million for Alejandro Garnacho from Roma, according to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Argentina international signed for the Blues from Manchester United last summer, and he had a disappointing debut campaign with them.
The Blues' hierarchy have now decided to offload the left-sided winger and Roma appear the most interested in landing his signature.
Chelsea would ideally like around €50m for the former United attacker, but Roma have proposed €5m upfront for a season-long loan deal.
They are prepared to sign him permanently for €35m next summer. The Serie A giants have proposed a conditional buy clause for the winger.
Chelsea are evaluating the proposal on the table from the Italian outfit, but they are more likely to demand a mandatory buy clause.
There is also interest from some Premier League clubs, but Garnacho has his sights on moving to Serie A in the near future.
Napoli are also keeping tabs on the talented ace.
