Everton are reportedly looking at a move for Genoa defender Brooke Norton-Cuffy as they seek to address their problem position at right-back before the transfer window closes.
According to OneFootball, the Merseyside club have identified Norton-Cuffy as a potential solution on the right side of defence, with the Genoa player emerging as a name under consideration on August 15. Everton’s interest is understood to be linked directly to their need for reinforcement in that area of the pitch, rather than a wider reshaping of the squad.
No fee, formal bid or contract details have been reported at this stage, and it remains unclear whether Genoa would be prepared to sanction a departure. However, the fact that Everton are assessing options for the role suggests the club are keen to strengthen a position they view as requiring attention.
Norton-Cuffy is currently with Genoa, and his profile as a defender capable of operating at right-back appears to have placed him on Everton’s radar. For the Premier League side, adding a specialist option could provide greater balance and depth as they prepare for the demands of the campaign.
Any move would still depend on negotiations between the clubs and the player’s own situation, with Everton needing to decide whether to advance their interest into a concrete approach. For now, Norton-Cuffy is a target being monitored rather than a completed deal.
With the transfer deadline moving closer, Everton’s search for a right-back is likely to remain an active area, and Norton-Cuffy could become a key name to watch if discussions develop in the coming days.
