Arsenal have reportedly lowered their asking price for winger Gabriel Martinelli with the transfer window close to conclusion.
The Gunners have already signed a new left winger in Christos Tzolis, and he had a brilliant debut with two assists against Manchester City yesterday.
Despite this, the club are open to landing a marquee option on the left flank. For that to happen, Martinelli needs to be offloaded in the near future.
The Brazilian has already turned down a move to Galatasaray, but he is still attracting interest from several Serie A clubs at the current point.
AC Milan and Juventus are among his admirers, and it is claimed that Arsenal have lowered his valuation from £51 million to around £43 million.
Martinelli is not pushing to leave the Gunners, but the hierarchy believe an exit would be the right choice as the club seek a left-wing upgrade.
Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola remains a lucrative target for the Gunners, though Liverpool appear to be leading the race to recruit him.
