Hull City have their sights on landing Chelsea midfielder Dario Essugo on a season-long loan deal, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
Essugo arrived at the Blues from Sporting CP last summer, and he had a difficult debut season at the club due to multiple injuries.
The Blues have now put him on the loan market, and they would ideally prefer him to stay in the Premier League and gain experience.
Jacobs claims that Hull have now expressed an interest in landing Essugo and are prepared to assure him of sufficient first-team football.
The Tigers made their comeback after almost a decade in the Premier League and had the perfect start with a victory over Manchester United.
Hull secured a 2-0 win over the Red Devils on Saturday and the margin of victory could have been even wider based on their performance.
They are still determined to add more quality options to their squad and Essugo could make the switch on loan before the deadline.
