No Shola Ameobi bids yet

Steven Denos, Shola Ameobi's agent, has revealed that there have not been any offers to Newcastle for the England under 21 striker yet. It is understood that Ipswich and Stoke City are both interested in the player.

"As far as I'm concerned, Ipswich have not put a bid in for Shola," Denos told The Journal.



"There has certainly been no dialogue from Newcastle to me to the effect a bid has been submitted from any club at this stage. Our position is that we will be willing to talk to any club that puts a bid in to Newcastle that is acceptable.
