Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has confirmed that Marcus Rashford picked up an injury during the 2-2 Premier League draw against Everton on the road on Sunday.
The Red Devils played out a frustrating 2-2 draw against the Toffees yesterday. They were on course for a victory before Ainsley Maitland-Niles' world-class strike in stoppage time.
As a result, United have fallen five points adrift of the league leaders after just three games into the campaign. The game also saw Rashford struggling in the second half before his substitution.
Carrick has now confirmed a fresh injury for the England international. The club graduate will most likely be examined over the coming days to find out whether he can feature in coming games.
Rashford has been impressive since his return to the club after a loan stint at Barcelona, and it remains to be seen whether he will be fit for the Champions League opener against Sabah on Thursday night.
