Mykhailo Mudryk out for six weeks with foot injury

Tottenham Hotspur have suffered a big setback with on-loan Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk sidelined for at least six weeks with a foot injury.

  • Mudryk returned to playing professional football after his drugs ban this summer. He was linked with multiple clubs before joining Spurs on loan because of his close relationship with manager Roberto De Zerbi.

He played 16 minutes as a substitute against Nottingham Forest on the road recently, but he is now expected to be out of action for a long time.

Mudryk was spotted wearing a protective boot on his left foot earlier today, and it is now confirmed that he may miss six to eight weeks.

The news is a huge blow for the Blues in particular, who were hoping that the winger could revive his career and provide a resale value.

Spurs have the option to buy him for £75m at the end of the campaign, though it is highly unlikely that the clause will be triggered.
