Manchester United are set for a huge injury boost ahead of the Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford next weekend.
The Red Devils have had a dismal start to the top-flight campaign, and they have picked up only five points from as many matches.
They will be keen to kick-start their season after the international break and should fancy their chances against an out-of-form Spurs.
Ahead of the clash, they have received a timely boost with Matthijs de Ligt back in the mix after overcoming a lengthy back problem.
The Dutchman has not played a competitive game since November last year, and he has had a couple of setbacks along the way.
However, it appears he is finally up to full speed. He participated in a friendly this week and came out of the game unscathed.
De Ligt may not be rushed into the XI by the Red Devils, but he is likely to make the matchday squad at least against Tottenham.
