Newcastle chase Emana

Newcastle have joined Real Betis in the race for Achile Emana. The Toulouse 25 year old is one of the French league's most up and coming players, and Emana is ready to join for an estimated £5 million.

"I need a new challenge to boost my career," Emana told Sky Sports.



"I know there are many contacts. The most interesting recent one was Newcastle United.



"My club want more money (from Betis), around - 8million euros [£6.3million].



"If the two clubs can agree a price I will be happy. My career has to move forward and Betis are a very good club."
