Alonso close to Juventus move

Liverpool and Spain midfielder Xabi Alonso has reportedly moved a step closer to completing a move to Serie A after the two clubs agreed terms - believed to be around £14 million.

It is understood that Alonso is looking forward to a new experience in Serie A working for Claudio Ranieri, and his new Italian boss has been on the look out for another midfielder all summer after the disappointing form of Tiago.



Alonso has signed a four year deal with the Old Lady worth an estimated £2.7 million per season and with bonuses.



Agent Inaki Ibanez is due to fly in to England next week with the signed contracts.
