Frey to stay at Fiorentina

French goalkeeper Sebastien Frey has ruled out leaving Champions League qualified Fiorentina. Bayern Munich had been linked with Frey as a long term successor for the retired Oliver Kahn.

"I have started a journey and I want to continue it. Staying seems like the most logical course of action," said Frey.



"It means giving consistency to a project that will see us compete in the Champions League.



"I don't want to let this chance get away. We have to ensure we are ready for the preliminary round so that we can achieve the objective we set ourselves - the group phase."
