Lyon goalkeeper Gregory Coupet could be set to join Atletico Madrid after the club and the player confirmed that talks were ongoing between each other.

Coupet has been looking for a swift exit from Ligue 1, and both the Premiership and La Liga appealed to the player.



The France international goalkeeper looks set to plump for Atletico Madrid though, despite the competition from Argentinian keeper Leo Franco at the Calderon.
