Aragones: "I wasn't wanted"

29 June 2008 - 10:31

Spain coach Luis Aragones has confirmed that he is leaving his post as manager of the Iberian side after Euro 2008, because nobody in the Spanish Football Federation made him feel wanted or would discuss a deal with him.

  • Chelsea want to hand new contract to 23yo star - Romano
  • Chelsea set for big injury boost for Wolves clash

  • "I'm standing down because nobody asked me anything," said Aragones. "So I decided to go and there's no turning back.

"Nobody told me anything at that moment when we qualified (for Euro 2008). I decided then that I was going to leave, period. Now there's no way back."
