Juventus striker David Trezeguet will be staying at the club, despite the interest of Barcelona. Club president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli confirmed that a deal for the forward would not be going ahead.
âOur aim is to strengthen the team, we need a midfielder and hopefully a solution will be found next week,â Cobolli Gigli told the domestic press.
âI understand the fans would like [Dejan] Stankovic in, but other details have to be considered. Weâll meet with Inter this week.
âTrezeguet is here to stay, no doubts he remains with us,â he added. âWeâre not interested anymore in Portuguese [Miguel] Veloso.
âWe remain keen on [Alberto] Aquilani, but thereâs no agreement regarding a contract.â
