Villarreal midfielder Marcos Senna has revealed that he is certain he wishes to stay at the Yellow Submarines next season. This is sure to disappoint several clubs across Europe, who were all chasing the Spanish international midfielder.

  • Senna told The Sun: "I met with the president of Villarreal on Tuesday and we talked about extending my contract by two years.



    "But now I want to rest. I am on holiday and hope to detach myself from these things."



    Villarreal president, Fernando Roig quipped: "He wants to stay for life with us and he's a great person. We are very proud of him.



    "Senna is happy here and he is staying at Villarreal."
