Domenech to stay France boss

03 July 2008 - 13:22

Jean-Pierre Escalettes, the president of the France Football Federation, has revealed that he has decided to give Raymond Domenech another chance as the head coach of France, despite a disappointing Euro 2008 tournament.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • Raymond Domenech has been given the all important reprieve and is now set to stay as French boss.

"Domenech's record is not that bad as coach," Escalettes said. "It is not catastrophic.

"He qualified us two straight times for a major competition.

"I did not want emotion and passion to get the better of reason.

"There will be some conditions of his mission and the terms of his management though."
