Sevilla not to sale Palop

04 July 2008 - 19:04

Sevilla sporting director Monchi has dismissed all reports connecting their star goalkeeper Andres Palop to Valencia this summer and has said that they are not going to hear anything of the matter.

  • Man Utd favourites to sign 25yo Newcastle star
  • Chelsea & Man Utd want to sign Arsenal defender?
  • Valencia had placed an offer for their former custodian Andres Palop and the player himself was said t be keen on retuning to his hometown but Sevilla wanted only cash for Palop and not another player in exchange.

All talks between the two Spanish sides have now broken down. Monchi himself had told that his club are not interested in any talks with Valencia anymore.

"We do not want Andrés to go and he, his agent and Valencia know that," he explained.

"There was a possibility that he could leave but Valencia did not like the idea and there is no other solution. Andrés will stay here. We are going to leave it there."
