Aragones new Fenerbahce boss

69 year old Euro 2008 winning former Spain coach Luis Aragones admitted he was delighted to be taking charge of Fenerbahce. Scolari admitted he knew the 'risk' involved in taking charge at the Istanbul side, but was prepared to do his best to help the club succeed.

  • "If you want to be successful, you have to take some risks," said Aragones. "I had to take this risk, and try something new.



    "Of course, I will always miss Spain, but now I'm only focused on Fenerbahce's success.



    "I'm so happy to be a part of this great club,' he said. 'Fenerbahce had a great season in the Champions League, so now everyone knows what we are capable of achieving.



    "I watched Fenerbahce in the Champions League, so I know my players very well. They all are very strong and qualified."
