Mavuba completes Lille move

Rio Mavuba has finally completed the long awaited return to his homeland France, as today he signed and sealed the transfer from Villarreal to French Ligue 1 side Lille.

It is understood that Lille paid Villarreal £3 million for the privilege. Mavuba was unfortunate in La Liga last year, failing to impress in his maiden season.



Mavuba was loaned out to Lille for the second half of the season, and is now ready to begin the next chapter of his career back in France.
