Gouffran still on the market

PSG had looked to have signed up Caen's young French starlet Yoan Gouffran, but it appears that the deal may have fallen through. The player had been linked with Arsenal, and Wenger could make another move for the player in January.

On May 20, 2007, Gouffran was awarded French Ligue 2 Player of the Season after a successful season with SM Caen which saw the club promoted to the Ligue 1. The highly-rated 21-year-old was named Ligue 2 Player of the Year as he helped Caen seal promotion to the top flight of French football.
