Palop won't rejoin Valencia

Talented Spanish goalkeeper Andres Palop will not be rejoining his old club Valencia from Sevilla. It is understood that the Spaniard had been earmarked as a long-term successor for Santiago Canizares.

"My thoughts are 100 per cent on Sevilla, and this deal is practically over. In football you never know, but this is finished," he said.



"Sevilla have given me everything, what I am I owe to Sevilla and I'm not going to start a war to pressure them into selling me and leave under a cloud.



"I said the only way I would go is if all three parties were happy, and if nobody was upset by this, because that wouldn't be good for me."
