Robinho would be Chelseas last

Robinho would be Chelsea's last

22 July 2008 - 15:16

Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has admitted that should the club make a move for Real Madrid striker Robinho - believed to be in a deal worth around £25 million - the player would be the last new one to join the club this summer.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • "I think as far as Robinho is concerned it is quite right he has been one of our targets," Kenyon told Chelsea TV.

"We have had several conversations with Madrid and he is a player we think would add a great deal to Chelsea.

"We have got a fantastic squad and that has been strengthened with (Jose) Bosingwa and Deco and I think the coach was just looking for one more to complete what he thinks is the perfect squad.

"There is still a long way to go on that one, but we are very, very interested and the clubs are in dialogue."
