Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has admitted he is impressed with the pre-season form of summer signing Didier Digard, who arrived from Paris St Germain.
"I thought Didier's showed some lovely touches, he has a good range of passing and he's a little bit more up to speed," he told Boro's website.
"He's still adjusting to the pace of the game but I like the way he can change his mind, he sees a pass and if it's cut off he can turn and look after the ball.
"There was one pass inside for a run Jeremie made across the box against Carlisle which was a delightful ball.
"He missed the last six months for PSG, so he's not only adapting to our training but adapting to getting back on the field full stop."
