Bruno Cheyrou has declared he would like to stay at Rennes for the remainder of his career, and emulate the great Milan legend Paolo Maldini.

"My summer has been a turbulent one," Cheyrou told L'Equipe. "The club wanted to part with me.



"I would like to become the Rennes Maldini, but my current contract is short-term.



"I am delighted to be here we have a great squad. We are in talks for a one-year deal, but we could not agree terms."
