Ljungberg joins Seattle

Ljungberg joins Seattle

29 October 2008 - 05:18

Former Arsenal and West Ham midfielder Freddie Ljungberg has decided to join MLS hopefuls Seattle Sounders. It seems that with the departure of David Beckham - heading to AC Milan - the MLS will be welcoming another European superstar.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Ljungberg links up with former Spurs goalkeeper Kasey Keller.

"I'm really happy to be here," Ljungberg said. "I feel so welcomed by everybody.

"Maybe the league is not that great, but I think that is almost proven wrong with David going to Milan - if he can crack it at Milan then he's still doing well and that shows MLS has a good level if he can do that."
