Italian manager Roberto Donadoni has informed Antonio Cassano that he still has a future in the Italian national team as he made his debut for Sampdoria in the 0-0 draw with Genoa at the weekend.
Donadoni said: "It will depend very much or nearly exclusively on him. Yesterday evening I have seen a glimpse, a promise of good things to come. Cassano is a player of the greatest qualities, he must be convinced of this and knows that only by training hard and showing continuity in his performances the door will reopen."
