Adams: Gaydamak trusts me

06 November 2008 - 14:55

Portsmouth boss Tony Adams has revealed that he has the confidence of Peter Storrie and club owner Sacha Gaydamak, and that he held discussions with the duo regarding Pompey's poor form.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • "I've had one meeting since I've been in the job," he told The News.

"The owner and Peter Storrie have let me get on with it. They've got faith that I can get on with the job so we will have to see what happens.

"There has been a positive response from everybody, I am not worried in that respect. The owner's been supportive, Peter Storrie has been supportive and that gives me the confidence in the job.

"I've got good players and we're a good team. I'm glad I'm manager of Portsmouth. I'm confident of my players and I believe in them.

"We have the talent going forward to destroy teams. We just have to be a little bit more disciplined."
