Schusters spell over?

Schuster's spell over?

17 November 2008 - 09:21

Real Madrid boss Bernd Schuster failed to show up to a voluntary training session called by the board after their dismal performance against Valladolid and this might lead to his exit from the Bernabeu soon.

  • Chelsea defender back in training ahead of Man Utd game
  • Chelsea keen on re-signing former graduate
  • Bernd Schuster has been criticised overtly for not being able to inspire the talented squad to perform like 'champions'. The capital side's display against Valladolid was pathetic and it seemed like the players lack ambition.

They also lost the Copa del Rey match against a third division club - Real Union Irun. Real Madrid's problems at the defense continued in both these matches and the latest news that Ruud van Nistelrooy will be sidelined for at least two months has added to the woes.

These defeats came soon after their consecutive champions league losses to Juventus.

To make things better, the Real Madrid board called up for a voluntary training session on Sunday, and only five players attended. Schuster was missing, and it might add to the worries of the fans.
