Portsmouth boss Tony Adams could make a shock move for Holland international midfielder Orlando Engelaar.

The midfielder only joined Schalke 04 in the summer from his homeland, and is already being linked with a move away from the club.



It is understood that Portsmouth will be willing to pay as much as £5 million to land the tall midfielder, who is renowned for his superb passing abilities.
