Marcus Berg has emerged as a shock target for ambitious Italian side Fiorentina. It is understood that the Viola are willing to pay 14 million EUR for the Swedish forward who has already bagged 8 goals in 12 games for his club Groningen this year.

Berg is also being closely monitored by another club, Ajax, who are willing to pay around half of the offer that Fiorentina are supposedly ready to make.



According to Berg himself, he would be keen on trying his luck elsewhere: “I know there are a lot of rumours, It is obviously fun to be mentioned in this context, but I cannot go around and think too much about it as it could affect my game negatively. I see no limits as to how good I can be and would like to try to play at the highest level possible.”
